How to Donate

Persons with low literacy can seldom afford to pay the cost of literacy instruction, so it rests upon others to support their learning.

As a sponsor, not only do you directly sustain ALTA’s free literacy classes, but you gain a better understanding of the challenges surrounding literacy and share in the successes of learners as they progress through the levels of the ALTA programme to enter the world of reading and writing.

Sponsor student learning aids

An ALTA book or student learning aids

From TT$20,000

Almost every year, ALTA prints books/learning aids to maintain stock of all our publications for students and tutors.

While volunteers help revise and update the materials, a sponsor is needed for the cost of printing.

A minimum contribution of $5,000 entitles the sponsor to have their logo placed on the front page of the publication.

ALTA has charitable status so donations are eligible for tax deduction by means of a Deed of Covenant.

ALTA will assist in organizing the necessary documents for the approval of the deed.

Signing a 3- or 5-year deed provides long term support and removes the need to repeat the process yearly.
