Any person (including a corporation) may apply to be considered for ALTA membership. The annual subscription is TT$30, renewable at the Annual General Meeting in late October. The life time membership fee is TT$500.
Persons who do not wish to become full members but wish to help ALTA may become Friends of ALTA.
Members and Friends of ALTA receive a newsletter at least three times a year and are invited to a meeting in June featuring a talk relevant to adult literacy, education or students’ personal development. Past speakers included Merle Hodge (UWI), Hazel Pillai (Dyslexia Association), Eunice Gittens (Social Services Delivery) and Leticia Rodrigues-Cupid (Student Support Services of the Ministry of Education).
ALTA’s Annual General MeetingÂ
